Instructor: Tracie Stanfield
Tracie Stanfield is known for inspiring and challenging classes. As one of the top teachers in NYC, Tracie brings energy, style and passion to her students across the world. As the Artistic Director of Synthesis Dance Project, Tracie brings a unique voice to the teaching world. Her classes serve as a bridge between dance student and dance artist. More than inspiration and motivation - Tracie teaches practical knowledge and strategies for movement in a interesting, fun and accessible way.
An in demand and prolific choreographer and master teacher, Tracie Stanfield is on faculty at Broadway Dance Center, working with students from around the world. Additionally, Tracie teaches Contemporary Lyrical at Peridance Capezio Center to the professional dance community, as well as guest teacher at Marymount Manhattan College, Joffrey Ballet's Summer Contemporary Intensive and The Rock School.
In addition to concert dance, Tracie is renowned for her diverse choreography projects. Highlights include The Merry Widow with the Verismo Opera Company, Movement Exchange in Tokyo, Dream.Believe in Brazil, an online campaign for EOS/Caseology watches and independent film "The Fairy Queen" with Director Erin Levendorf. Tracie's choreography has been seen at SUNY Purchase, Mesa State College, The Los Angeles Dance Invitational, The Elan Awards honoring Susan Strohman and The Sureste Dance Festival (Mexico).
Under the direction of Tracie Stanfield, Synthesis Dance Project has held annual New York City seasons with additional extensive touring throughout the United Stages. Successful highlights of US engagements include Boston University, Towson University, Hollywood Performing Arts Center and select local community festivals such as Grier Gala in Pennsylvania, SoNo Arts Festival in Connecticut and Bluegrass State Festival in Kentucky. In addition to their annual season, special New York engagements include performances at Symphony Space, The Duke, Joyce Soho, Dixon Place, NuDance Now at Riverside Church and Untermyer Parks' Summer Concert Series.
